Monsal and High Peak MTB Circuit

Suitable for: Energetic, Off Road, Inspiration

Start/Finish: Hassop/Hassop

Length: 25 miles or so depending on your variations / 40km

Description: There are many places to start this route - there are public car parks near the Royal Oak Pub at Hurdlow, the Mosal Head Pub and at Hassop Station. If starting at Hassop then there are additional route options - either adding a short section via Great Longstone) or stay on the Monsal Trail to pick up a short steep track (S of Upperdale). The route links the Monsal and High Peak Trails with some really good sections - but if you'd prefer to stay on these trails for longer please see the Monsal Trail and High Peak Trail Loop as an alternative.

Map/guidebook: OS Explorer 1:25 000 series, sheet OL24 The White Peak

Best bit: There is beautiful scenery all around this circuit and a great descent through Deep Dale.
